Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Museums

Nassau County manages more then 70 parks, preserves, museums, historic properties and athletic facilities comprising 6,000 acres throughout the county.

Under the leadership of Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, the parks department has made great strides. We have added family friendly programs, such as our summer recreation program, brought major entertainers into our Lakeside Theater for summer entertainment, re-established many of our athletic leagues, and hosted a spectacular car show and concert.
