EAST PRAIRIE HOUSING AUTHORITY — INSPECTION REMINDER

Our upcoming inspection is October 5th & 6th, 2026. Please make sure everything is inspection-ready!

🏠 Before the inspection, please:

✅ Make sure all units are clean, neat, and free of clutter.
✅ Check that smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are working properly.
✅ Make sure doors, locks, windows, and screens are secure and in good working order.
✅ Check for leaks, plumbing issues, running toilets, or water damage.
✅ Make sure lights and electrical outlets/switches are working.
✅ Keep hallways, stairways, exits, and common areas clear.
✅ Make sure trash and debris are removed from around buildings and grounds.
✅ Report any maintenance issues or needed repairs as soon as possible.
✅ Make sure mechanical rooms, storage areas, and other inspection areas are accessible.

🔧 If you see something that needs attention, please report it immediately rather than waiting until inspection day.

Attention: East Prairie Housing Authority Tenants

Notice the orange ribbons tied to the trees, please do not remove! We are currently in the process of removing all Bradford Pear trees.

We will be replacing with trees that are safe for our area.

Please read Missouri Department of Conservation statement below:

Because they are highly invasive, damage easily in windstorms, and crowd out native species, state conservation groups strongly encourage immediate removal. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) even runs an annual spring Callery Pear Buyback program where you can cut down your tree and receive a free native replacement.

Attention All East Prairie Housing Authority tenants:

Shooting fireworks is strictly prohibited on all Public Housing Authority (PHA) and federally subsidized properties in Missouri, regardless of the city or county's local ordinances. Because PHA sites are public and multi-family residential properties, management agencies and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) ban them for resident safety and fire prevention.

Shooting fireworks at public housing in East Prairie, MO, is not allowed. All public housing authorities strictly prohibit the possession or discharge of fireworks on their premises to prevent property damage and ensure resident safety.

If a tenant or a tenant’s guest or children shoot fireworks the tenant will be subject to a lease violation and or Notice to vacate.
