Raise your Glass! 🍺 Lehigh Valley 250 is excited to highlight a spirited new exhibition from one of our regional partners, the National Museum of Industrial History in Bethlehem.
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, NMIH will open “Cheers to 250! Brewing in America,” a museum-wide signature exhibition created in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary. The exhibition explores 250 years of American innovation through the story of brewing — tracing its evolution from colonial kitchens and neighborhood taverns to a major industry that shaped labor, transportation, science, technology, and everyday social life.
The opening celebration will take place at the museum from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will include tastings, a colonial brewing demonstration, guest lectures, pop-up displays, food, music, and more. Admission is free for NMIH members and included with general museum admission.
Cheers! 🍻 Visit their website for more information:

Red, white, and blue - and MORE too! 💫
The Lehigh Valley 250 initiative is using America’s 250th anniversary as a springboard to position the region as a long-term cultural tourism destination. Organizers aim to attract an extra one million visitors in 2026 through Revolutionary War-themed programs, educational projects, and partnerships with nearby cities. The effort is also designed to foster lasting collaboration among cultural institutions and strengthen the region’s economic and cultural profile. 🇺🇸
In a recent article in the The Morning Call, Lehigh Valley 250 shares that 2026 is a starting point, not an endpoint. The long-term goal is to institutionalize collaboration among arts and cultural groups, secure sustained funding, and maintain visitor momentum through ongoing programming beyond milestone events.
