The bond initiative will create increased costs for ALL Edmond residents, including pass through price increases for renters, from local businesses, and again homeowners, who will pay increases on both their property and the costs of local goods and services.

Housing affordability and attainability are big hurdles for Edmond residents in the current economy. With higher interest rates, low inventory, increasing homeowner insurance expenses, and high property values, this bond initiative will be another blow to current and future property owners.

The proposed “Edmond on the GO” bond initiative places the burden for city services solely on Edmond property owners. A property tax increase of almost $500 for the median home in just the first year. Housing affordability and attainability are big hurdles in Edmond, and this will be another blow to current and future property owners.
