This past Saturday, the Office of District 3 was proud to host our Community Care Summer Fair, and what an incredible success it was!
We extend our sincere gratitude to Chapin High School JROTC Color Guard for leading us in the presentation of the colors and helping us begin the event with pride and respect. Thank you to Precious with the El Paso Police Department for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, Rick Isaias for serving as an outstanding Master of Ceremonies, and DJ Rick Olivas for keeping the energy high and the atmosphere welcoming throughout the day.
A special thank you to our amazing mascots who brought excitement and smiles to families throughout the event: Amigo Man, Lea from El Paso Public Libraries, Gus and Goldie from Parks & Recreation, Red T. Hawk from El Paso International Airport, McGruff the Crime Dog from the El Paso Police Department, and Paydirt Pete from UTEP.
Most importantly, thank you to the more than 70 City departments, nonprofits, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community organizations that joined us to provide valuable information, services, and resources to our community. From health screenings and immunizations to educational opportunities, transportation resources, public safety information, and family services, your commitment helped make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who attended.
Events like these are only possible through collaboration, and this fair was a true example of our community coming together to support one another. Thank you to every organization, volunteer, staff member, and resident who participated and helped make the Community Care Summer Fair a memorable and successful event.

Last night, I had the honor of attending Jefferson/Silva High Schoolβs Athletic Awards Assembly to recognize the Boys and Girls Wrestling programs for their hard work, dedication, and achievements throughout the year.
On behalf of the Office of District 3, we presented a proclamation honoring the legacy of Eddie Guerrero, one of Jefferson High Schoolβs most celebrated alumni, whose impact on professional wrestling continues to inspire generations of athletes. We were also proud to present certificates of recognition to the wrestling team for their commitment, perseverance, and success both on and off the mat.
Thank you to Judge Ricardo Samaniego for joining us and helping recognize these outstanding student-athletes. It was a privilege to celebrate the wrestlers, coaches, and families who continue to make Jefferson/Silva High School and our community proud.
Congratulations to all the student-athletes on a successful season and for carrying forward a tradition of excellence. π€ΌββοΈππ€ΌββοΈπ

Yesterday, I had the honor of attending the Riverside Middle School Rebel Elite Awards Celebration and recognizing an incredible group of young leaders making a difference in our community.
What stood out most was not just the awards, but the heart behind them. These students chose to serve others with kindness, compassion, and leadership β giving their time to community cleanups, supporting families during school events, celebrating children at local shelters, and showing what it truly means to care for their community.
As I shared yesterday, βYou came in as students. You leave today as leaders.β
To the Rebel Elite students: never underestimate the impact of showing up for others. El Paso is better because of you, and your future is incredibly bright. Thank you to the families, teachers, and staff at Riverside Middle School for helping shape the next generation of compassionate leaders. π
