I had planned to stay out of this until I saw this conduct involved hostile actions from this individual while our Bastrop/Travis ESD1 Firefighters were on scene. She threatened to assault a firefighter from another jurisdiction and was charged for that. I stand with our Firefighters.

Tonight Bastrop/Travis ESD1 Board of Commissioners voted in Commissioner Damon Doss, a pioneer of the district, into the office of Emergency Services District Commissioner  to finish the remainder of the term of Office of former commissioner Ramiro Garza, who resigned.

Following this the board held an election of officers the results are as follows.

President - Zack Voelker
Vice President - Nick Teague
Secretary - Brian Henson
Treasurer - Larry Mosley
Asst. Secretary/Treasurer - Damon Doss

The next public election of ESD Commissioners for BTCESD1 will be in May 2028.

*Note in accordance with state law, there will not be a special election for an elected ESD Commissioner who resigns, instead the board will appoint an individual to complete the unexpired term of Office.
