Another fabulous Governor’s Conference this year!

This one in particular highlights the monumental success of Gov. Bill Lee during his tenure, as well as his and his administration’s kindness to Carter County. He leaves the state in a strong position, and Marsha Blackburn is ready to step in to ensure Tennessee continues on the path towards being the nation’s conservative leader!

It was also great to spend time with First Lady Maria Lee. Maria has been instrumental in supporting Northeast Tennessee, especially during Hurricane Helene.

And it was great to see special guests Luke Bryan and Steven Curtis Chapman!

It has been an honor to serve with Governor Lee and First Lady Maria Lee.

Honored to proclaim September 25 as Dolly Parton Day in Carter County! 💗🦋

🩷 Friday, September 25 is officially Dolly Parton Day in Carter County! 🩷

Mayor Patty Woodby has proclaimed September 25, 2026, as *Dolly Parton Day*, recognizing Dolly’s lifelong dedication to East Tennessee, her commitment to children and literacy, and her generosity to communities in times of need.

From the Imagination Library to her support of East Tennessee following Hurricane Helene, Dolly’s generosity, compassion, and Appalachian spirit have left a lasting impact here at home and around the world.

September 25 — 9/25 — is a fitting date to honor the East Tennessee icon who gave us “9 to 5.” 🎶

Carter County is proud to join in honoring the life and legacy of Dolly Parton!🩷🦋

Congratulations to our newly elected County Commission and to our Chair Kelly Collins and Vice Chair Todd Smith.

I look forward to working together as we move forward to make Carter County the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

I am excited for what accomplishments are to come and am grateful to each commissioner for their commitment to serving our community. 🇺🇸

9/11 forever changed the lives of the adults who experienced that day. Younger generations were not here to witness it, but live in a world shaped by its impact.

9/11 serves as one of the darkest days in American history. Let us take today to honor and remember the heroes, their sacrifice, and the lives lost.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Same problems, different zip codes.

Yesterday I had the honor of representing Carter County and NE Tennessee at the 2026 ThinkTennessee Policy Forum.

The discussion included how Tennessee counties such as Carter County are navigating growth, workforce, and infrastructure challenges, as well as the impact of Hurricane Helene.

Forums like these allow for great insight and discussion into the current trajectory of our region and the policies that will shape its future. Simultaneously, they ensure Carter County is seen and not forgotten.

Tennessee doesn’t stop at Knoxville. Neither should the conversation.
