👍 Shoutout and Thank You, Monroe County Volunteer Fire Association 🚁

What started out as an idea from Association President Marie Johnson a few months ago has turned into a reality -- and an invaluable benefit -- for several fire departments in the Monroe County VFA 🚒

As we always say, it's your preference on how you ultimately enroll for a PHI Cares Membership, whether that's as an individual on behalf of your household, or through an employer, group, or organization. Marie's vision weeks ago was to be able to offer memberships to all firefighters in the county, and, through her hard work and attention to detail, we've done that.

Now, firefighters at Rocky Hill, Goodway, Mexia, Bermuda, and Uriah all have air medical membership coverage, not only for themselves, but for their households and families. (Also, thanks to Excel Volunteer Fire Department and Beat 1 who already had coverage). In the event any flight(s) are needed, those firefighters and members will face $0 in out-of-pocket expenses, including deductibles/co-pays being covered.

You, too, can offer and/or provide this same benefit to your organization and employees at a rate of no more than $65 per person, per year. Whether you're looking for a benefit to add to your employee package, or simply offer the service via payroll deduction, we can take care of it.

As we all navigate the effects of Hurricane , we want to thank all of our folks in public works, our first responders, and our lineman who continue today in power and utility restoration efforts across South Alabama.

Our aircraft and crews are back in service, but we know many are still facing issues in the counties we cover. Stay safe, take care of each other, and call us if you need us 🐝

Monroe County, we're headed back West next week to set up shop and enroll YOU in our membership program! If you haven't yet heard, our membership program is designed to save you and your household on out-of-pocket expenses, should anyone require air medical transport(s).

Think of it as pre-paying for a flight, but our hope is that you never need it. Just $75 per year covers Senior (60+) households, $95 per year protects everyone else, except where Monroeville/Monroe County Chamber of Commerce discounts apply.

*Note: This is not limited to Monroe County/Monroeville. If you live anywhere within Monroe, Clarke, Wilcox, Washington, Escambia, Conecuh counties -- Enterprise Rescue Air is your local flying ICU and this membership could one day save your wallet.

Memberships are just $75 per year for Seniors (60+) and $95/year otherwise, except where Monroeville/Monroe County Chamber of Commerce discounts apply. Where you live or work makes no difference -- if you're anywhere in the region, Enterprise Rescue Air is your local air medical ambulance 🚁

Keep in mind, if you're already a member -- or if you sign-up in the future -- we give you three (3) months of free membership for every person you refer that enrolls. Refer four (4) households and you earn an additional year of FREE membership on top of what you already purchased.

Shoutout and Thank You to Red Oak Volunteer Fire Department and Till's Wrecker Service - Greenville for enrolling in PHI Cares Memberships recently!

Because of their trust in PHI and Enterprise Rescue Air, and commitment to their employees/members via this program, each household associated with each entity is covered in the event air medical transport(s) are required. No more than $65 per person -- per year -- covers all members, personnel, employees, etc. In the event a flight occurs, we still bill insurance first, then anything remaining -- including the deductible/co-pay -- is written off via the membership.

If you're a business in the area -- big or small -- and you have interest in memberships for your folks, give us a call. Whether you want to outright purchase and provide memberships to your folks, or offer via payroll deduction, we can handle it.

❗ Let's talk about some 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙨 with the air medical service, memberships, and how your family can be affected if you one day need to be flown 🚁

𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮:
• Be careful saying things like, 'I'm safe, I won't ever need a helicopter.' Emergencies happen every day, and we unfortunately can't predict them.
• Whether you're in your yard, side of the highway, at work, or in a hospital needing a higher level of care, that's why we exist, to bring the flying ICU to you and get you where you need to be.

𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮:
• If you're reading this anywhere in the Southern third of Alabama, you fall within Enterprise Rescue Air's coverage map, which includes 15+ counties.
• Our aircraft are strategically positioned in Coffee, Covington, and Monroe Counties.

𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽:
• If someone's flown without a membership, whatever is left that insurance doesn't cover becomes the responsibility of the patient -- 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 deductibles and co-pays. Unsure what your deductible is? Call your insurance company and find out (😮)
• Even if your insurance coverage is 'great,' you'll still owe your deductible/co-pay, which can be extremely high. Bills vary depending on the situation, but they're not small, to say the least.

𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽:
• Whatever is left that insurance doesn't pay is covered via the membership -- 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 deductibles and co-pays.
• Best part: One membership covers everyone under one roof, so individual memberships are not required.

To avoid any worry, headache, or issue down the road, sign your household up for a membership for just $75 or $95 per year. We hope you never need to use us, but if you do and you're a member, it's going to make the already-stressful situation a lot less stressful when you remember you'll owe $0 for being flown.

👋 If you're new here and haven't yet heard, we're PHI Cares serving South Alabama, your local air medical membership program 🚁

You're probably asking yourself, what is a membership and what does it do? Think of it as pre-paying for a flight you hopefully never need. Except, the cost of a membership is a predictable amount of less than $100 per year. Whereas, if someone in your house is flown tomorrow with no membership, the bills you would later receive are an unpredictable amount of money, something most families aren't prepared for financially.

• With a membership, insurance is still billed first, then any remaining bills are written off
• Before you hit us with the "Well, I have good insurance, I don't need that." Do you know what that means, and further, are you aware what your deductible is?
• With a membership, we cover deductibles and co-pays, too, so even IF you have 'great coverage' the membership still saves you that deductible/co-pay, and is far cheaper than what those amounts would be
• Doesn't matter how many times someone in your household needs to be flown. Membership covers any amount, and the destination doesn't matter, either
• $75 per year for Seniors (60+), $95 otherwise, except where Chamber of Commerce discounts apply
