🚒 July Wrapped 🚒

What a month it’s been!

July started on a high with a fantastic station Braai, giving everyone a chance to relax and spend time together before things quickly ramped up.

From there, it turned into an incredibly busy month. Our crews attended numerous field fires as the warm weather took its toll, along with several road traffic collisions (RTCs), keeping us on the move throughout the month. We also assisted our colleagues in Suffolk during a major incident, working together to support the response when extra resources were needed.

The service continue to deal with hot and dry conditions and we ask everyone to take care during these very hot spells of weather that we're all experiencing.
We would like to thank the community for their continued support in helping keep our communities safe.
Help us to help you by following some simple safety advice:
🚨Test your smoke alarms - Book a free visit (details in

🚒Take care when using BBQs
🚒Avoid lighting bonfires and setting off fireworks
🚒Be mindful of how you're discarding your ci******es
💦Take care around water
🚒Help us to continue educating our young people

We're recruiting on-call firefighters at Wivenhoe Fire Station 🚒

Our on-call firefighters all live or work within five minutes of the fire station and are paged when there is an incident.

This means they're not based at the fire station full time and they can go about their daily business like working other jobs or spending time in their community. All while helping to keep the fire station available when needed.

Could you make a difference to your community?
