Look at these two sections in the same lease. Who is responsible for which utilities? It’s impossible to tell!

We sent North Park Ventures and Quadrel owner Eric Turrin a comprehensive offer to settle with our union on January 15 after 9 months of negotiations. He STILL has not responded to the offer. We’re only demanding what is fair: an end to predatory rent increases and refunds for our overcharged illegal fees.

North Park Ventures is not broke!!! At the same time they decided to buy this Rogers Park retail property for $9 million, they continued to charge tenants egregiously unaffordable rents and fees.
If Eric and Robert can afford to make this deal, they can also make one that won’t displace their tenants!

Did you know that Evanston landlords have to attach a summary of the city’s Residential Landlord-Tenant Ordinance (RLTO) to every lease you sign? But our landlord, / , often fails to do so, trying to ensure their tenants don’t know the law — and can’t hold them accountable for violating it.
