Public Servant | Chairwoman, Texas Veterans Commission | MDD President & Former Mayor Pro Tem, City of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX | Navy Veteran | Naval Academy & MIT Grad | Wife & Mom of Twins I’ve spent over a decade serving my community and state in volunteer, elected, and appointed roles grounded in integrity, accountability, and results. My public service journey began in 2017 when I was elected to the Fair Oaks Ranch City Council. I served three terms (2017–2025) on the Fair Oaks Ranch City Council, including multiple years as Mayor Pro Tem. During that time, I helped lead key initiatives in infrastructure development, strategic planning, and community engagement. I continue to serve as President of the Municipal Development District. In 2018, Governor Greg Abbott appointed me as a Commissioner on the Texas Veterans Commission. I was honored to be appointed as Chairwoman in 2020 and reappointed in 2024. In this role, I oversee efforts to advocate for and provide services to over 1.5 million veterans in Texas. My commitment to public service is rooted in a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of others, guided by principles of integrity, accountability, and dedication.

I was honored to be selected to participate in this year's Boerne ISD Community Leadership Academy. We will meet 5 times this school year to learn more about the school district and grow partnerships. We kicked it off today with a welcome from the Superintendent, learning about their finances and staffing, a bus ride to Viola Elementary, a school tour, and school lunch with a 2nd grader. What an amazing school!

Beautiful morning in Lubbock to dedicate the brand new West Texas State Veterans Cemetery. As a member of the State Veteran Cemetery Committee, I was honored to be a part of funding and building the first new Texas Veteran Cemetery in 15 years. This is our 5th state run veteran cemetery in Texas, with hopefully a prospective 6th one in Tyler in the future years. Every Texas veteran deserves a beautiful final resting place.
