🚨 PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT – WATER DEPARTMENT IMPERSONATORS 🚨

The West Caldwell Police Department is advising residents to remain vigilant following reports of individuals going door to door, identifying themselves as water department employees, and tampering with water service.

⚠️ Residents are urged to exercise caution:

● Do not allow unfamiliar individuals into your home or onto your property without verifying their identity and credentials.
● Be alert for anyone attempting to access, alter, or tamper with your water service.
● If someone claiming to be a water department employee raises suspicion, do not confront them.

📞 Call the police immediately to report any suspicious activity. If you observe someone tampering with water service or believe a crime is in progress, contact our dispatch at 973-226-4114 or 911.

Please share this alert with family members, neighbors, and friends to help keep our community safe.

Today, we celebrate the spirit of exploration, courage, and discovery, while recognizing the generations of Italian Americans whose hard work, determination, and contributions have helped shape our great nation.

Today, Senator Kristin M. Corrado, Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips, and I were in Fairfield for the Detective James Ciampi Memorial 5K.

Detective Ciampi dedicated himself to serving and protecting the residents of Fairfield. Beyond his service in law enforcement, he demonstrated tremendous courage and strength throughout his battle with cancer, inspiring a community that rallied behind him.

Today’s event was about much more than a race. It was an opportunity to honor his life, remember his service, and show his family and fellow officers that his legacy will never be forgotten.

Today, I joined New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education Margo Chaly for a listening tour at Caldwell University.

It was a great opportunity to hear directly from university leadership, faculty, and students about the opportunities and challenges facing higher education in New Jersey.

These conversations are important as we work to ensure our colleges and universities have the resources and support they need to prepare the next generation for success.

Thank you to Caldwell University for hosting us!

Great to be at Rutgers University’s Eagleton Institute of Politics tonight speaking with Mike DuHaime’s class.

I enjoyed sharing some of my experiences in public service, campaigning, and the New Jersey Legislature, and answering some great questions from the students.

Thank you to Mike for the invitation and to the class for having me!

Senator Kristin M. Corrado and I were in Woodland Park today to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Borough’s long-awaited new library!

This beautiful new space is a major investment in Woodland Park and will serve residents and families for generations to come. Congratulations to everyone who worked for years to make this project a reality!

Senator Kristin M. Corrado, Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips, and I are calling on the Sherrill Administration to delay the new ABC test regulations until July 1, 2027, giving independent contractors and businesses more time before these significant changes take effect.

This has become a bipartisan effort, with concerns being raised on both sides of the aisle. We believe additional time is needed to address the outstanding concerns and work toward a fair and workable approach for New Jersey’s workers and businesses.
