RAIN CHANCES RETURN:
Potential for rainfall increases over the weekend, along with occasional thunderstorms. Highest rain chances will be on Sunday. Rainfall amounts 1 to 2 inches most areas, with locally higher amounts south. Little to no flooding concerns for Central Alabama at this time.

TODAY:
Scattered afternoon showers are in the forecast for this afternoon and evening hours. Highs are expected in the lower 90's with overnight lows in the upper 60's.

Thursday 7am Forecast:

RAIN RETURNS:
Occasional showers are expected this weekend with a medium chance of thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts up to 4 inches. Flooding concerns limited to minor flooding of poor drainage areas at this time.

TODAY:
Partly cloudy skies are in store today. Highs are expected in the lower 90's with overnight lows in the upper 60's.

Fair weather continues through Thursday of this week with warm afternoons and cool mornings. The weather pattern is then forecast to become more active for the upcoming weekend, perhaps starting as early as Friday. Periods of showers and a few thunderstorms are forecast with the potential for rain amounts to total a couple of inches.

Clear skies and moderate temperatures are in store for today. Highs are expected in the mid-80's with overnight lows in the mid-50's.

Seasonable temperatures are forecast over the next several days with no rain expected. As we head through next week, temperatures are forecast to get a tad warmer along with at least a low chance for showers and thunderstorms late in the week.

Above-normal temperatures continue early in the week, but a front later this week looks to bring us to seasonal numbers. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast early this week, then trending drier through the weekend.

Partly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms mainly east of I-65. Highs are expected in the lower 90's with overnight lows in the mid-60's.
