Treasurer’s Office warns residents about third-party payment services
FLAGSTAFF - The Coconino County Treasurer’s Office reminds residents and property owners to use the County’s official website at coconino.az.gov/treasurer when making property tax payments and accessing payment-related services.
Coconino County has no partnership, affiliation or authorized payment arrangement with DOXO or DOXO Bill. These third-party payment platforms are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Treasurer’s Office.
To ensure payments are processed through authorized channels, the Treasurer’s Office works with two designated payment vendors:
GovPros: The County’s authorized vendor for credit card payments. Credit card transactions are subject to a processing fee.
PayIt: The County’s authorized vendor for electronic check (eCheck) payments, offering an automated payment service for taxpayers.
Taxpayers are encouraged to access these payment services directly through the County’s official website rather than using unaffiliated third-party websites.
Third-party payment websites may appear in online search results and may give the impression that they are associated with local government offices. The Treasurer’s Office encourages residents to carefully verify payment websites before submitting personal or financial information.
“Our responsibility is to ensure that taxpayers have access to accurate information and trusted payment services,” Treasurer Sarah Benatar said. “We want residents to know exactly which payment vendors we work with and encourage everyone to visit our official website before making a payment.”
The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for the collection, safeguarding, investment and distribution of public funds in accordance with Arizona law. The Office is committed to fiscal responsibility, transparency and providing dependable services to residents.
