Unused medications sitting in a medicine cabinet can become a serious risk. Properly disposing of them is a simple step that can help prevent accidental use, misuse, and potentially tragic consequences.
What can you bring?
Prescription and over-the-counter medications, including pills, capsules, liquids, creams, inhalers, patches, ointments, sprays, and vials.
V**e pens and e-cigarette devices may also be accepted if the battery can be safely removed. Batteries must be removed before disposal.
Not accepted: sharps/syringes, aerosol cans, household hazardous waste, illegal drugs, products containing blood or bodily fluids, mercury thermometers, personal care products, iodine-containing medications, or devices with non-removable batteries.
No questions. No judgment. Just a simple opportunity to safely dispose of medications you no longer need.
A few minutes can make a difference.
