For Staff Sgt. Michael Murphy, the Army was a calling. Over the course of nearly 10 years he served with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and then with the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson. An Unmanned Aerial Systems Operator, Murphy completed Pre-Ranger course twice, served as a dedicated NCO, taking care of his Soldiers, and deployed to Kuwait and Europe. But in December 2018, everything came to a devastating halt.

We know some users have experienced challenges during the transition to myAuth, and we appreciate your patience as updates continue to be made.

The Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), which manages myAuth, implemented an update to the Manage Relationships feature on Oct. 14, 2026, to address an issue affecting family access.

What changed:
Sponsors can now add their spouse in Manage Relationships, allowing the spouse to view and act on behalf of dependents.

THE FLU SHOT IS HERE!
EACH will conduct Community Flu Vaccination events for all TRICARE beneficiaries ages three years and up & Fort Carson Civilian Employees on the following dates and times:

WALK-IN EVENTS:
Dates: Oct. 27, 2026 & Nov. 5, 2026
Times: 5-8 P.M.
Location: Special Event Center (6550 Specker Ave, Fort Carson CO 80913)

DRIVE-THRU EVENT:
Date: Nov. 14, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: Robinson Clinic Parking lot (7490 Sutherland Cir)

The flu vaccination events are open to all TRICARE beneficiaries ages 3 and older as well as Department of Defense civilians (Please contact your Primary Care team to schedule flu vaccines for children under 3 years old starting Nov 1, 2026).

PLEASE NOTE: we cannot vaccinate anyone receiving the flu vaccine for the first time at these events. Those individuals should schedule an appointment with their Primary Care Provider to receive a flu shot.

PLEASE ENSURE THE FOLLOWING:
- All individuals 10 years and older bring their DOD ID card.
- For children ages 3-9 years old, please have their DOD ID number readily available.

- Contact TRICARE for assistance.

New Army dentists in Fort Carson’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program recently partnered with their Air Force peers from the U.S. Air Force Academy’s 10th Dental Squadron for a joint Digital Dentistry Course at Smith Dental Clinic.

REMINDER: STANDARDIZED TRAINING CLOSURE THURSDAY (morning):
Evans Army Community Hospital will be closed until noon for training on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, to conduct standardized Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) training. During training, all departments and clinics, to include the laboratory, pharmacies and other ancillary services like radiology and physical therapy, will be closed. As always, the Emergency Department and Inpatient Services will remain open. In accordance with Defense Health Agency guidance, EACH opens at noon the second Thursday of every month to standardize training times for medical treatment facilities across the enterprise.

HOLIDAY WEEKEND HOURS:
On Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, Evans Army Community Hospital will be open for previously scheduled appointments and routine services, except as noted below: EACH will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, In observance of the Federal Holiday. As always, Inpatient and the Emergency Department will remain open 24/7.

• PHARMACY: The Main Outpatient Pharmacy will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the SFCC Pharmacy will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for refill prescription pick-up only. All other outpatient pharmacies will be closed.
• SCMH CLINICS: All SCMH clinic services will be consolidated at the Robinson Clinic, which will host a consolidated sick call from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• DENTAL CLINICS: All dental clinics will be closed except Dental Clinic #1, which will be open for dental emergencies and dental readiness needs.
