Free summer meals available! 🥪🍎 Northwest ISD is offering free meals through June 30 to all children 18 & under (and eligible students up to 21) through the Summer Food Service Program, which helps ensure students have access to nutritious meals during summer break.

Breakfast will be offered from 8 to 9 a.m., and lunch will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at both locations.

After spending the past year deployed to the United Kingdom with the U.S. Air Force, 2023 VR Eaton High School graduate Dezmon Smith made a quick trip home — just in time to surprise his two younger brothers, Dillon (Leo Adams Middle School) and Damion (Berkshire Elementary), on the final day of school.

The hugs, tears and smiles said it all. What an unforgettable reunion for this family, and a powerful reminder of the sacrifices military families make every day. 🇺🇸

Northwest ISD’s four high schools will celebrate the Class of 2026 with commencement ceremonies, and every ceremony will be livestreamed for friends and family who can’t attend in person. 🎓✨

James M. Steele Early College High School will kick things off tonight at Northwest High School, while Byron Nelson High School, VR Eaton High School and Northwest High School will hold their ceremonies on Tuesday, May 26, at the University of North Texas Coliseum.

Join us in congratulating a pair of incredibly talented student artists, Alyssa Tallman and Ariana Yaelis Vasquez Rosete! 🎨✨

Alyssa, a sophomore at Northwest High School, earned TWO Gold Seals at the TAEA State VASE contest! Only 150 Gold Seals were awarded this year, and Alyssa was one of just four students statewide who earned two.

Ariana, a freshman at James M. Steele Early College High School, was named a finalist in the international ARTEFFECT annual competition, organized by the Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes! Ariana is one of just 149 high school finalists that represent 32 U.S. states and 16 countries.

Congratulations to both Alyssa and Ariana, as well as their art teachers, Brittany Shaban (NHS) and Mylene Davis (SECHS)!
