We’re kicking off 2025 with an incredible group of new A Matter of Balance volunteer coaches! 🎉 After completing a two-day, eight-hour training, these dedicated individuals are ready to empower older adults in our community with confidence and tools to prevent falls.
👏 Join us in welcoming and thanking them for their commitment to making a difference!

Inspire Your Heart with Art Day is celebrated annually on January 31. Art can touch our souls and make a lasting impact. Art can also bring us together as a community! Whether it’s a piece of music or a painting, it can broaden our horizons and inspire us in many ways. How has art changed your life recently?

Did you know that 1 in 4 adults age 65 and older are socially isolated? A lack of regular interaction with others can affect your health and well-being.
Did you also know that today is International Chocolate Cale Day? What better way to celebrate a day like today than to learn a new recipe from an older adult?! It's a great day to stay connected, indulge in chocolate cake, bake new recipes, and learn about the history of this beloved dessert.

This month in Art on the Go, we have been creating these lovely Origami Doves of Peace in honor of Martin Luther King's message of peace and freedom. We are always looking for creative ways to exercise our brains, and this is definitely a good way to do that!

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr, our offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Let us take time to reflect on Dr. King's legacy and the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice for all.
