Assalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh

Today marks the 20th Ramadan. From this evening the search for the night of Qadr begins.
Most of us with our busy schedule will not be able to perform itikaaf.
The night besides being greater than a thousand months is mark by the visit by Angel Jibraeel and a host of Angels to earth. More so they will visit each believer's home.
How do we prepare for this grand visit? We need to timetable ourselves for these ten days.
1. Clean our house and surroundings and have some incense around
2. Do some form of charity every night
3. Pray at least two extra Rakaat every night. Wake up at least 45 minutes before suhoor pray and make du'aa
4. Recite at least three times every night Surat al Ikhlaas (Qul Huwalaahu Ahad …)
5. In your du'aa pray for yourself, your parents, your Muslim ancestors, your aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws, those you wronged, those who wronged you, your teachers, your benefactors etc.
6. Recite extra Quran, do excessive amount of dhikr, especially when you (for females ) are not praying, read a lot of astaghfirullah, laa ilaha illal laah, laa hawla wa laa quwata Illa billah etc.
7. Try your utmost to put on your best behavior at all times during this time
8. Free your heart from all malice and forgive everyone in a very sincere way
