Sakura Circuit!
In April, our Sakura Circuit delegation traveled across Japan, spending time in Nagaoka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. From witnessing beautiful Sakura blooms to tea ceremonies to Hibachi, this is an experience our ambassadors will never forget!
The delegation, led by former Councilman Blaylock, connected with Mayor Isoda, members of the Nagaoka City Council, and experienced how the city of Nagaoka collaborates with public and private organizations to improve the lives of the Nagaoka citizens.
Arigatou to our friends in Nagaoka!

We’re proud to highlight board member Chase Chasteen, now Managing Director with PS DFW, whose journey with us began as a teen participating in our youth programs, including the International Leadership Academy (ILA).
“Because of FWSCI, I didn’t just find a career- I found a way to lead in a global world.”
Today, Chase brings that same passion full circle, serving on our board, hosting international delegations, and even opening doors through his work in the hospitality industry to create meaningful exchange experiences. Recently, he shared his perspective and journey as a speaker at our Donor Appreciation Luncheon. His story is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of global education and connection. Thank you for all you do, Chase!
