Children in foster care need to know this: they are important, loved, and seen! They need to know that they MATTER! We can prove this by showing up for them and advocating for them.

What is foster care? Foster care provides support to vulnerable children and their caregivers during both good and bad times! It is drawing near to the broken-hearted by showing kindness, compassion, patience, and love while believing in them! It's an opportunity to show the love of Christ—over and over, day after day, and it's an opportunity to grow in Christ.

Listen, foster/adoptive/kinship moms, we know there's no cure for the hardship you experience, the grief you walk through, and the burdens you carry. But how bout a lil coffee? A lil pampering? A lil bouquet? A lil worship? It won't change the hard, but it will encourage you to keep going, keep showing up—because it matters.

Hope(Local) is partnering with Icon Church to put on Abide: For the Mothers on June 6th from 10 AM to 1 PM. It will take place at Icon Church in Plano, and if you live far, it'll be worth the drive! Trust me!

Caring for vulnerable children is for EVERYONE. You don't have to be a foster parent to help, love, and support children in foster care. Scroll to see some of the ways you could make a difference in the life of a foster child.

It takes great love, enduring strength, and incredible faith to be a foster parent. You can support them with your prayers, as they pour themselves into the lives of such vulnerable children.

Hey Hope(Local) Family,

Our hearts have been heavy for the Reidland family this week. Hope(Local)’s President, Mark Reidland, and his wife, Hope(Local)’s Advocacy Director, Chelsea Reidland, learned that their beloved son, Jo, had passed away last Monday. He was a bright light in their family, and they miss him deeply. We wanted to let you know and ask you to pray for the Reidland family. Please pray for God’s peace, strength, and presence.
