There has been questions posted on another page about the signs outside of Borough Hall on Center St.

The first photo “No Parking Between Signs” is there to establish a no parking zone north and south of the parking lot exit. There is a sign north of the entrance and a sign south of the entrance with yellow hash marks painted on the roadway.

The second sign “15 Minute Parking for Borough Business Only” is for just that. Park here if you are paying a bill at Borough Hall or have other business that takes 15 minutes less. These are in the painted white hash marks.

Thank you to all of the residents who live in the No Parking area for having your vehicles moved. This did not go unnoticed by the State Police. Thank you again for your support in honoring Trooper Michael Pahira.

Just a reminder after the two recent crashes on I81 in Schuylkill County involving emergency response areas.

Move Over, Slow Down
Pennsylvania’s Move Over Law requires drivers approaching an emergency response area who are unable to safely merge into a lane farther away from the response area to "pass the emergency response area at a speed of no more than 20 miles per hour less than the posted speed limit and reasonable for safely passing." An emergency response area is where an emergency vehicle has its lights flashing, or where road crews or emergency responders have lighted flares, posted signs, or try to warn travelers.

A big thank you to the parents who contacted the department about their children drawing on the equipment at the Memorial Park. Also, thank you for having them clean the graffiti and having them apologize publicly at the council meeting last evening. Also, thank you to the kids for doing the right thing.
