Wynonna is a country music legend in our backyard. Wy recently signed her latest album BN Cool Springs.🎸🎶❤️

When Naomi and her daughters, Wynonna and Ashley, moved to the Nashville area, their first home was on Del Rio Pike in Franklin, before The Judds became a household name. Wynonna has called Leiper’s Fork home for years, and we couldn’t be more proud.

Give her new album, The Hard Truth, a listen and show her some hometown love. Recorded at her studio in Leiper’s Fork, it’s another chapter from that unmistakable voice we’ve loved for decades. 🎤✨

🎶What’s your favorite Wynonna or Judds song?

Williamson County historian Rick Warwick is a Tennessee treasure! The History Buffs visited Rick at his new office in the beautifully restored LeHew Mansion, formerly known as the Haynes-Berry House. With his remarkable memory, wonderful sense of humor, and love for local history, time with Rick is always a treat!

Located next to Franklin Grove, formerly O’More College of Design, the home was completed in the 1890s for Mr. Haynes, a downtown hardware store owner, at a cost of $6,000. It was designed by Hugh Cathcart Thompson, the architect behind Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium, Franklin’s historic Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and the beautiful Watson House! Its Romanesque Revival architecture features Eastlake details and High Queen Anne touches.

Owned by the Heritage Foundation, the home was renamed LeHew Mansion in recognition of Calvin LeHew’s $1 million donation toward its renovation.

Williamson County owes Rick a debt of gratitude for his decades of service, sharing our county’s stories, archiving photographs, and serving as a bridge between the past and the present.

Thank you, Rick, for helping us know and love Franklin even more. You are one of the many reasons we call it Lovely Franklin! 🤎

Franklin preservationist Chuck Isaacs was recently honored by NC5 “MY HERO” with Nikki-Dee Ray. [reshare]

Chuck is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to local history, cemeteries, and the people whose names are etched into those old stones. But what struck me most is that Chuck isn’t simply cleaning and restoring headstones. He is preserving history. He is making sure the stories and memories of the people who came before us don’t disappear with time.

There have been times when Chuck was out cleaning a headstone, and someone would walk up to him and ask about a relative buried there. Chuck has been able to tell them about their family member... Sharing a story, a piece of history, or a detail they may have never known. I think that is what makes his work so special. He isn’t just restoring a stone… He is helping reconnect people with their own history.

Chuck lives by a simple but powerful belief:

“You die twice. Once when you are no longer here on Earth, and the second time when you are no longer talked about.” -Chuck Isaac’s

Spending time with Chuck reminded me that every name on a headstone belonged to a person who had a life, a family, and a story worth remembering.

And thanks to Chuck, those stories are still being told. “I truly enjoyed our time together with Chuck, his beautiful wife, Kathy, and Lynn Smith, who nominated him,” says Nikki.

Thanks to Bart Durham Injury Law , they will be making $250 donation to Chuck Isaacs’ charity of choice, Historic City Cemeteries Preservation Group LLC.

A BIG Thank You to NC5 Photojournalist Dan Blommel for shooting and editing MY HERO.
