Since taking office, I have secured $14M+ in street improvements, completed major paving projects, and activated street lights across our neighborhoods — all while staying connected with residents every step of the way. Because showing up and listening is just as important as getting the work done.

Met with business owners along Kings Canyon — formerly César Chávez — to listen and understand the challenges they are facing following the street name changes.

Small businesses are the backbone of District 5 and it is my job to make sure their voices are heard. From signage costs to customer confusion, these changes have real impacts on real people — and I want to make sure we are doing everything we can to support our local business community through this transition.

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Fresno is home to so many veterans and military families who have served this country with courage and dedication. Their sacrifice is never taken for granted — and as your Councilmember, I will always fight to ensure our veterans and their families have the support and respect they have earned.

To every veteran, active service member, and Gold Star family in District 5 and across our great nation — thank you. We will never forget.
