Our team regularly serves individuals experiencing homelessness across Fresno with food, prayer, and meaningful conversation. And one question comes up more often than you might think: “Do you have a Bible?”

Now, the answer is yes!

We recently received new English (NIV and NIrV) and Spanish Bibles so we can better serve our unhoused neighbors when they ask for spiritual support alongside practical help. From a warm meal to a moment of prayer to God’s Word, we want to be prepared to meet people where they are with dignity, compassion, and love.

Please keep our street outreach team and our neighbors experiencing homelessness in your prayers.

This Thursday morning, Majors Frank and Beth from The Salvation Army Fresno Citadel Corps joined community members for Fresno’s prayer walk, coming together to pray for our city, its families, and those facing hardship.

We’re grateful to stand alongside local leaders and neighbors who believe in the power of prayer, unity, and service. Together, we continue working toward a stronger, more hopeful Fresno!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Central California Women's Conference, The Salvation Army Fresno Gabelcrest program is expanding support for women rebuilding their lives after recovery!

At Gabelcrest, women live on site in two bedroom, two bathroom townhomes while working toward stability, independence, and reunification with their children. This year long program equips residents with the tools they need to succeed through:

• Job readiness and employment support
• Educational opportunities
• Parenting classes and family reunification
• Spiritual growth and community support
• Ongoing recovery through AA and NA

By the end of the program, the goal is simple but powerful. Every woman leaves prepared to live independently, support her family, and give back to her community.

Thanks to Big Heart Ministries, our moms and their children enjoyed a beautiful day filled with the Easter story, an egg hunt, and a shared meal together. Moments like these create joy, connection, and lasting memories for families on their journey toward stability and independence.

We’re so grateful for partners who show up with love and support for our community!
