A great tool to “Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself.”

I have to discipline myself to address the stage I am currently experiencing instead of hiding behind a “Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda” mask. Asking for help felt like failure, and I wasn’t willing to admit that I was drowning in dangerous negative coping activities such as adrenaline seeking. I told myself it wasn’t addiction, so what was the issue?
My Vet Center swam along side me through the s**t, because going through it is the only way to get above it. I am not alone. I am not alone.

All 4 of these movies “illustrate” how PTSD occurs and how it is survived. We don’t suffer the same, but we cling to stuck points the same. We learn to recognize what we bring to the table or we sit in isolation.
These movies are each on my list of coping mechanisms during a stressful holiday season. They remind me to be kind to myself and my progress while factoring my goals into my logic/emotion balance.
