Father. Veteran. Experienced Frisco City Councilman.

Running for Mayor to put more money in taxpayers’ pockets and make our community the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the outcome of the Frisco mayor’s race. While it wasn’t what I hoped for, my heart is full.

My faith, my family, and my true friends have been my foundation, and I am blessed to have them in my life. I want to thank my wonderful fiancé, Marcia, for her love, patience, and unwavering support through every challenge we faced together. To my incredible sons, Zach and Ryan, your encouragement over the years has inspired me to help build a city for families with a vision for the future.

I am deeply grateful for the support, encouragement, and trust so many of you placed in me throughout this journey. What started as a campaign became something far more meaningful. New friendships were formed, connections across our community grew stronger, and I gained a renewed appreciation for what makes Frisco such a special place to call home.

Over the past months, I had the privilege of meeting residents from every corner of our city. I listened to your stories, your concerns, and your hopes for the future. Those conversations stayed with me and strengthened my sense of purpose. I am especially thankful to my loyal friend Gopal Ponangi and his wonderful wife, Viji, who worked tirelessly to help bring people together.

From my years on City Council to this campaign for mayor, I have always believed in putting service before self and doing what is right for our city. Together, we helped shape a community that is strong, safe, and full of opportunity, and I am proud of the legacy we leave behind.

To everyone who knocked doors, made calls, sent texts, hosted events, put out signs, prayed, and supported this campaign in countless ways, thank you. This was truly a team effort, and I will always be grateful. I also want to give a special thank you to my Treasurer, Kelly Payette, for her positive energy and many contributions along the way.

Frisco’s best days are still ahead. I care deeply about this city, and I will always be cheering it on.

Thank you, Frisco. Serving this city has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

God bless Frisco, God bless Texas, and God bless the USA. 🇺🇸

Your friend, John Keating

It’s Election Day, Frisco, we’re off to the races.

A quick reminder, if you live in Denton County, you’ll need to vote at your assigned precinct. If you live in Collin County, you can vote at any polling location within the county.

Frisco spans both counties, so be sure to head to the right location and make your voice heard.

Polls are open until 7 PM, there’s still time. Let’s go vote.

I served 13 years in the U.S. Army as a counterintelligence agent and combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm. The Army gave me the best leadership training in the world.

I’ve lived in Frisco for 26 years and served on your city council for 15 years, helping build Frisco into one of America’s premier cities.

After this election, Frisco will have four council members with less than one year of experience and two with less than six years.

Who will lead them?

I’ve served with 16 council members, two mayors, two city managers, three fire chiefs, three police chiefs, and three EDC directors.

The role of mayor is not for rookies. I bring steady, tested leadership on Day One.

Experience matters. Results matter. Frisco’s future matters.

I would be honored to have your vote.

Frisco can’t afford a rookie. You can’t trust candidates who lack what it takes to keep moving our city forward.

That’s why I’m asking for your vote.

I’ve called Frisco home for 26 years and had the honor of serving on City Council for 15 years. During that time, I worked to lower taxes, raise the Homestead Exemption to 20%, pass the Senior Tax Freeze, and fully fund our First Responders to keep our city safe.

Results matter. Experience matters. 🏆

This Saturday, I’d be honored to earn your vote. I’m a VETERAN, and I’m ready to serve Frisco as your Mayor.

Thank you, Paul Temple, for your endorsement and for your service. Grateful for your trust and support.

“I’ve known John Keating not just as a friend, but as a fellow serviceman, and that distinction matters. Leadership isn’t something you claim; it’s something you prove under pressure, with people depending on you. John has done exactly that. He brings a rare combination of discipline, integrity, and genuine care for others that you simply can’t fake. He listens, he understands, and he acts with purpose. Frisco isn’t just getting a candidate; it’s getting a leader who knows how to serve, how to unite, and how to deliver results when it counts.”
