Texas Baptist Men are providing Just Water Filters to help over 200,000 people in the Philippines. Each water filter provides clean drinking water for one family for an entire year.

Texas Baptist Men are helping to assemble 10,000 filters for Just Water LLC to ship to the Philippines. Channel 4 and Channel 11 were here doing a story that air on the Organization's efforts. Terry Henderson, Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief Team, is discussing with News team efforts of Texas Baptist Men partnering with other Baptist organization in the Philippines. Cholera has now been detected in some of the drinking water and left unchecked could potentially cause more deaths than the hurricane itself.

After the Just Water filter system was installed at Leacheria, Dominican Republic, all of the villagers came to get safe water! The system filters water and stores it in a 300 gallon overhead storage tank.

Last year, Bob Young and Julio Campos from TBM traveled to Venezuela where missionaries Delia and Paul Lozuk were stationed. The group, along with Jose Angel Gonzalez (pictured), strategized about how to share clean drinking water with six remote areas in Venezuela (see starred areas on the map). Jose is searching the country for 3,000 plastic buckets to build the water filtration systems using the filters donated by TBM. Jose is setting up appointments to teach men and women how to use the water filters and share the Gospel. The logistics of this operation are complicated becuase of distance, transportation and cost. Please pray for Jose Angel and the Lozuks as they continue to minister and share the "Living Water" in Venezuela.

Today is World Water Day.
Just Water is sending this water filter system to a clinic in the Dominican Republic in July to provide pure water to mix with baby formula giving babies a better chance of survival in sometimes harsh conditions.
