Proud of our own, Captain Jason Webb!

At 13, Jason was a burn survivor. That experience introduced him and his family to the Arizona Burn Foundation.

25 years later, Jason has given nearly 5,000 volunteer hours back to the organization—from Camp Courage camper to Camp Director and everything in between.

We’re proud to have Jason as part of the Glendale Firefighters Local 493 and even prouder of the work he continues to do for burn survivors and their families.

Thank you for giving back, Jason! Strong work

September 11, 2001 — We Remember

Twenty-five years later, we remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families and communities forever changed that day.

We honor the 343 FDNY firefighters and all the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.

But the loss did not end on September 11.

In the years since, countless firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, recovery workers, and civilians have continued to lose their lives from illnesses linked to the toxic exposures at Ground Zero and the other 9/11 sites.

Their sacrifice is a reminder that the consequences of that day continue to be felt today.

We remember those we lost on September 11.
We remember those we have lost since.
And we stand with the families and first responders who continue to carry that loss.

We will never forget. We will always remember.

Proposition 143 puts local public safety at risk.

This measure would permanently change the Arizona Constitution and could have dangerous consequences for our communities by interfering with local decisions about firefighter staffing, training, recruitment, retention, and working conditions.

These decisions should remain in the hands of local communities, fire chiefs, and the firefighters who protect them every day- not state politicians.

Join your Glendale Firefighters in voting NO on Proposition 143. Protect local control. Protect public safety.
