Dont get Conned on November 3rd

10/12/2026

๐ŸŽƒ What does the Halloween season and Election Day have in common?

Costumes, surprises, and plenty of people knocking on doors! ๐Ÿฌ

Halloween is all about tricks and treats, while election season brings its own share of interesting characters, spirited conversations, and unexpected twists!

But here's one thing we can all agree on: It's always better to know who's behind the mask! ๐Ÿ˜‰

As we enjoy the Halloween season, take a little time to get to know all the candidates running, ask hard questions, and learn where they stand on the issues that matter to our community, you might be surprised, perhaps even shocked, startled, or downright frightened by the worldview and policy positions of some candidates on the Blue side of the ballot. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

๐Ÿ  Goffstown Property Taxes: What's the Solution?

According to Goffstown's 2026 MS-1, commercial and industrial buildings represent just 11.05% of the town's total assessed property value (building values only).

With rising household property taxes, what would YOU prioritize? Rank these three options and tell us WHY. ๐Ÿ˜€

1๏ธโƒฃ Reduce Spending
Where specifically? Which departments, programs, or services?

2๏ธโƒฃ Expand the Commercial/Industrial Tax Base
Should we prioritize business development, particularly along Mast Road?

3๏ธโƒฃ Expand the Residential Tax Base
Would new housing generate enough tax revenue to offset increased demands on schools, police, fire, EMS, roads, and infrastructure?

๐Ÿ’ฌ Your Turn!

Rank 1โ€“3, with 1 being your top priority. Would you pursue a combination? Is there a 4th option we're overlooking? And remember, shifting costs to the State IS NOT a solution to the overall tax burden, it's still taxpayer money, just collected and redistributed differently. ๐Ÿ‘

Sharing the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections Jail Study Presentation for anyone interested in understanding the options currently being evaluatedโ€”and the significant dollars involved.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Option 1 โ€” Existing Facility Repairs + Upgrades
Estimated: $130โ€“$150 MILLION

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Option 2 โ€” Renovations, Additions + New Community Corrections Center
Estimated: $315โ€“$335 MILLION

๐Ÿข Option 3 โ€” New Facility
Estimated: $255โ€“$285 MILLION
๐Ÿ“ See Slide 29 for the aerial view of the potential new location in Goffstown.

These are substantial numbers with potentially long-term implications for Hillsborough County communities and taxpayers.

Before decisions of this magnitude are made, residents should understand the options, the costs, and the tradeoffs.

Take a look at the presentation and decide for yourself:

Re-elect Joe Alexander for NH State Representative, Hillsborough 29. Four-term incumbent championing property-tax relief, housing, and strong NH families.

Chris "Conman" Conroy made some signs. We filled in the parts he left out. ๐Ÿชง

His sign says LOWER PROPERTY TAXES.

His record: AGAINST a cap on school property taxes. His excuse? "This is a local control issue."

His sign says SAY NO.

But not to a sales tax. He backs a new tax on every can of paint (HB 451).

Ban an income tax forever? He wouldn't even answer.

We can do better than Chris "Conman" Conroy.

November 3rd: Say NO to Conroy. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ

Good afternoon, Goffstown โ€” sample ballots are ready!

Voting is both a civic right and a responsibility. But an informed vote requires more than recognizing a candidateโ€™s name. ๐Ÿ˜€

Educate yourself on every candidate asking for your vote. Look beyond campaign signs, slogans, party labels, and familiarity. Ask the hard questions. Understand their record, priorities, and worldview.

Where do they stand on:

โ€ข Taxes and government spending?
โ€ข The size and role of government?
โ€ข Individual liberty and personal privacy?
โ€ข Parental rights and involvement in education?
โ€ข School choice and educational freedom?
โ€ข Policies concerning biological males in womenโ€™s private spaces and athletics?
โ€ข Free-market capitalism vs. socialism?

And most importantly: Ask candidates directly. Donโ€™t assume you know their positions simply because you know their name. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Read the ballot. Research the candidates. Ask questions. Then make your own informed decision. ๐Ÿคœ

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ Who needs an ABSENTEE BALLOT application?

If youโ€™re planning to vote absentee in New Hampshire, be aware of an important change. Under the new state requirements, identity verification is required when requesting an absentee ballot.

We believe you can currently satisfy the requirement in one of three ways:

โœ“ Include a copy of a qualifying photo ID with your absentee ballot application.

โœ“ Have your signature on the application notarized.

โœ“ Bring the application to your town/city clerk and present a qualifying photo ID in person.
