The Backstoppers of Jersey County IL Chili Cook-Off is TOMORROW, October 24th! 🌶️

We encourage our QEM family, friends, and community to come out, enjoy some great chili, and support an organization that means so much to the first responder community.

❤️💙 When one of our own makes the ultimate sacrifice, BackStoppers is there for their family.

Come hungry, bring your family and friends, and help us show BackStoppers just how much our community supports their mission!

If a fire starts in your home:

🔥 Get outside immediately.
🚪 Close doors behind you if you can safely do so.
📞 Call 911 once you're outside.
🚫 NEVER go back inside for people, pets, or belongings.

Your life is worth more than anything inside.

CLEAN THAT LINT TRAP!

Lint is highly flammable and can build up quickly.

🧹 Clean your lint screen after every load.
🔍 Keep the dryer vent and exhaust system clean.
🚫 Never leave your dryer running when you're away or asleep.

A few seconds of maintenance can help prevent a fire!

DON'T OVERLOAD YOUR OUTLETS!

Too many devices plugged into one outlet can create a fire hazard.

🔌 Don't overload power strips.
⚡ Replace damaged or frayed cords.
🚫 Never use electrical cords under rugs or furniture.

If something doesn't look right, don't use it.

SPACE HEATERS NEED SPACE!

Keep portable heaters at least 3 feet away from anything that can burn.

❌ Keep them away from blankets, curtains, furniture, and clothing.
🔌 Plug them directly into a wall outlet.
🌙 Turn them off when you leave the room or go to sleep.

Three feet can make a difference!
