Join Grand Valley Transit at the Grand Junction Fall Art Fest on October 3rd from 11-5 to paint a new mural! The community mural will be installed at one of GVT's bus shelters in town. We'll have the canvas, paints, and brushes ready for you to contribute to this public artwork! πŸšŒπŸŽ¨πŸ–Œ
GVT is also a great way to get downtown and not worry about finding parking! Be aware that Routes 1, 7, and 9 will detour around the event (but still within a couple blocks of the Art Fest!).

Week Without Driving is coming up! This year it will be from October 1st to October 8th. If you are able to drive, we invite you to participate to learn what navigating Mesa County is like for those who cannot drive.
🚢
How you participate is up to you! It can be the whole week, a day, or just a single appointment, commute, errand, or social occasion. There are many trips you can only make if you drive yourself. Reflect on what someone who cannot drive would do in your situation.
🚌
There are many people in our community that are unable to drive. This includes seniors who have aged out of driving, people with low or no vision, people who can't afford a vehicle, some people with disabilities, people with suspended licenses, and children.
πŸ§‘β€πŸ¦Ό
What would change in your life if driving wasn't an option? We hope you consider participating and gain a new perspective on our transportation landscape! If you would like more resources on getting around town please reach out!

Attention Route 10 riders! Starting October 5th, Route 10 will detour to avoid construction road closures on 32 1/2 Road and E 1/2 Road.
Courtesy stops will be located at:
🚏E Road east of 31 1/12 Road. The bus could arrive earlier than this.
🚏E Road east of Mountain Vista Drive. The bus could arrive earlier than this.
🚏E Road at 33 Road in the southwest corner. This is a timing point so the bus will not go beyond this point before this time.

This detour will last through the end of 2026 and could potentially run to the end of 2027 depending on the construction progress. Thank you for your patience while we work through these construction road closures.

EDIT: The second courtesy stop will be at E Road east of Mountain Vista Drive, not Meadowlark Way. The map in this post is correct.

Paratransit application forms have been updated! They are now available on GVT's website as a fillable PDF in Spanish and English and are screen reader accessible. πŸšŒπŸ‘¨β€πŸ¦½πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦―πŸ‘¨β€πŸ¦Ό
If you're unfamiliar with Paratransit Service, it is a complementary bus service to GVT's fixed routes. It's curb to curb service for people with a disability that prevents them from accessing a bus stop or completing a trip on the fixed route buses. Paratransit is a vital service that keeps people mobile around Mesa County, connecting folks to healthcare, jobs, recreation, social events, and more. You can learn more about it through the link on the link tree!
