300th Special Troops Battalion

June 2024 Annual Training around the country. Great job 300 Special Troops Battalion! Mustang 6 and I couldn't be more proud of the great things you all accomplished this year.

This past weekend at Sep BA, the battalion participated in the brigade change of command ceremony, where COL Johnson relinquished command over to COL Bower, with BG Seaberry, 4th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) Commanding General, presiding. Thank you COL Johnson, and welcome COL Bower!

In lieu of this past AT, MAJ Park, STB XO, attended Phase III of the Command and General Staff Officer's Course - Common Core at FT Leavenworth, KS. He is now ready to serve on division and above staffs with a joint operations mindset, and is also educationally qualified to compete for the Lieutenant Colonel promotion board.

HHC had their Annual Training (AT) at Fort Sill, OK in July. Our Mustangs conducted land navigation, obstacle course, individual weapons qualification (IWQ), and a Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) refresher along with other classroom instructions.

The Mustangs conducted their first Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) for record (effective 1 April for USAR). The ACFT consists of 6-events: dead lift, standing power throw, hand release push-up, sprint-drag-carry, plank, and 2-mile run.

Our very own 2LT Singh, from HHC, competed in the 4th ESC Best Warrior Competition and won 1st Place Overall (out of 32 participants) and 1st Place out of all officers! Along with his trophy, 2LT Singh was also awarded the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM)! Congratulations!!! Fidelity to Endeavor!
