Friends, our communities have experienced multiple acts of violence throughout our district in the last few days.

The fact is, we know that our society is not okay. We have a culture & country where only the rich are doing okay, while the rest of us struggle just to survive.

We can do better than this. We can create a society where everyone has housing, healthcare, education, a job & a clean environment; we just have to fight for it.

This campaign has been fighting alongside you all for the last 3 years, and we’re going to keep fighting with you until we win.

We stand in solidarity with the UAW Local 2093 workers in Three Rivers who are preparing to strike after this weekend as they fight for higher wages and better job protections & benefits.

Nothing will ever be handed to us, and that’s why we fight.

Because when we fight, we win.

We are the only candidate in this race who has called to abolish ICE, and it’s because we know that fascism is already here and is a threat to all of us.

Law enforcement must have the trust of the People and if it doesn’t, it must be abolished and replaced.

Our fight continues.

There’s a chance that a ceasefire agreement is reached between Iran & the United States in the next few days.

Beware of any politician -Democrat or Republican- who wants to continue this illegal war.

Any politician that fights for more war is not a friend of the working class.

This morning, the leaders of Mop Up Michigan will turn in over 500,000 signatures to put an initiative on the ballot that will ask Michiganders to ban corporations that receive certain government contracts from buying off politicians.

I ask you all to please vote YES on this initiative and to send us to Lansing so that we can then ban ALL corporations from contributing to political campaigns.

It’s time to put our government back into the hands of the People.

Inflation is rising & the minimum wage is $13.73 an hour.

When I graduated from high school 10 years ago, we were advocating for a $15 minimum wage, but that is no longer enough.

It’s time to raise the minimum wage to at least $25 an hour by 2030.

Our Interim GRPD Chief stated as recently as May 22 that the reason that crime generally continues to go down is because of more cops at GRPD.

Let me be clear: the only long-term strategy proven to drop crime is direct economic investment in our communities and lowering poverty.

Congratulations to the 70,000 Uber & Lyft drivers in Massachusetts who have established the 1st ride-share Union in the country!

The App Drivers Union will now begin negotiating a contract for these drivers, and we commit to passing a law to do the same in Michigan.
