Street lights and traffic signals across the city are out due to a large-scale power outage. City of Grand Rapids crews are working to repair the outage. Restoration time is unknown at this time. Treat all intersections as four-way stops.

ADA Access Update β™Ώ

πŸ”ΉWe've coordinated with rideshare providers to designate Market Cherry lot (125 Market Ave. SW) as the ADA pickup/drop-off location. Riders who request an ADA trip through their app will be directed there automatically.

πŸ”Ή If ADA trips are unavailable in your rideshare app, we recommend taking the DASH, which is ADA/wheelchair accessible, free to ride, and will drop you right at the venue.

πŸ”ΉThose with accessibility needs and are riding with family and friends without an ADA placard can use our designated pickup and drop-off zone at Market Cherry.

πŸ”Έ We'll continue to advocate with our rideshare partners to provide WAV and Accessibility ride features to their Grand Rapids customers.

Rideshare Update πŸš—πŸ“

🀝 We heard your feedback about the rideshare restriction zone and pickup/drop-off location, and we worked with GRPD and our Traffic Safety team to adjust.

πŸ”Ή The rideshare restriction geofence is reduced, specifically reopening access to most late-night businesses in the area.

πŸ”Ή Our initial strategy with rideshare restrictions was to mitigate congestion and alleviate traffic/pedestrian safety concerns, but after hearing your feedback we worked out a more balanced approach.

πŸ”Ή The designated pickup/drop-off zone is now on Fulton St. Bridge AND Cesar E. Chavez Ave. beneath US‑131, between Oakes & Cherry (see map below). This location is more central to nearby businesses and reduces walk times.

πŸ”Έ Reminder: All rideshare pick-ups/drop-offs that start or stop within the geofenced area will be redirected to the designated pick-up/drop-off zone.

⭐ FYI: We've confirmed these changes will be live in Lyft for the Friday, 5/15 show. Uber confirmation is still pending. Check your rideshare app for the most up to date information.
