Jeff Parker / Swansea Mayor My desire to be Mayor is simple. I've been a resident of Swansea for 11 years and this is a wonderful place to live.

I want to strive to keep it that way and I like to be involved in the community where I live. I know that I'm not a "hometown-raised" guy, but I have adopted this town and I hope you'll adopt me as your Mayor in April 2025.

Here is recent update on Bill Crispin who went missing in Swansea for 6 days before his recovery.
I recently spoke to his sister and she happily reported he is doing better and getting stronger each day. He has no memory of what occurred.
She further wanted to thank all the Swansea First Responders and Missouri Valley Search and Rescue for all they did. She further asked me to say thank you to all the citizens who came out to be part of this miraculous recovery.
I want to add someone that I forgot to thank during the search.
Joe’s Pizza in Fairview Heights on Route 159 donated food for all the searchers. Thanks you Joe’s Pizza for your kind donation and concern for those helping to find Bill.
I’m so proud of our First Responders here in Swansea for all their efforts and the knowledge they bring to emergency situations. I’m also very proud of our Community for responding and caring for a man they didn’t know.
Thank you Citizens of Swansea. We have a great Community.

Bill has been found alive and on the way for Medical Care.
Thank you to Missouri Vally Search and Rescue and thanks to the 70 citizens who came out to search. Without this search guided by Missouri Valley and the citizens who came out this would not have had this result.
Bill was found in a very remote area and too weak to move anymore.
As the Mayor I also want to thank the Swansea Police and Fire Departments for ask the hours of dedicated efforts they put in. No stone was left unturned and persistent efforts caused this great outcome.
In closing thanks again to all.
What a caring and wonderful community we have and what dedicated Emergency Staff we have.

Just want to send one final Thank You today.

If signs could vote I’d be in trouble because I don’t have a “boatload” of them.

If walking and meeting many fine people could vote then I’ve got “boatload “ of great experiences !!

It’s been a true pleasure and honor to have met so many new folks. Many whom I’m sure we’ll be good friends at the conclusion of this.

Win or lose I already feel like the winner for the experience I’ve had getting to know so many.

Thanks once again
Jeff

As we finally approach Tuesday, April 1st which is Election Day I wanted fo say a few final thoughts.
I’ve walked and knocked on about 3/4 of the Village neighborhood homes. Unfortunately I missed many of you but also talked to more than I missed.
It was a pleasure to have spoken to so many citizens of Swansea and learn what you were thinking about.
I did see where we need to step up the Street repair program, especially after the harsh Winter we just experienced and the beating the roads took from that. I will if elected appoint a Chairman of Public works who will work hand in hand with the Public Works Director. They will work with the Engineering Firm on the master plan for roads. I will want them to take a greater “hands on” with the Master Plan and I too will be part of this.
The same can be said for our new Building and Zoning Administrator in regards to derelict properties. One of the keys here is to keep our new Administrator. We have been through too many in the past few years.
I am a staunch believer in taking care of Employees and treating them fairly and with respect. Do this and Staff will work hard and be faithful servants of the community.
In closing you have by now seen my resume and work histories. You have seen my involvement in community activism. I am retired now and will have the time, energy and drive to be an active Mayor for you.
I promise to give you my best efforts and to support Swansea. I will be a Cheerleader and sell our Community in the efforts to seek new Retail Businesses.
Thank you,
Jeff Parker
