💙💛25 Positive Outcomes. One community helping make it happen

This past week, Spalding County Animal Care & Control celebrated 23 adoptions, 1 rescue transfer, and 1 reunion with an owner! Each outcome represents a pet moving forward and the work of our staff, adopters, rescue partners, and community coming together.

Our Freedom Friday adoption special accounted for 11 of those 23 adoptions, helping turn a single Friday into a fresh start for 11 pets.
To everyone who opened their home, shared a post, or encouraged someone to adopt: thank you for being part of their stories. ❤️

Though this week gave us plenty to celebrate, there are still pets waiting for their moment.
Just like Bubbles, our current longest resident. She’s watched others leave for their next chapter, and we’re asking Spalding County to help her find hers. Behind her photo is a pet who deserves to be seen, considered, and given the chance to become someone’s companion.

If you’re thinking about adopting, come meet Bubbles. If adoption isn’t possible right now, help us get her noticed by sharing this post. The right connection can start with someone simply deciding to spread the word.

💙💛We celebrated 25 life stories beginning the next chapter, help us make a home part of Bubbles’ story, too.

🚨 3 DOGS. 3 LIVES. ONE URGENT DEADLINE: MONDAY, OCTOBER 19TH 🚨

Blanche, Freya, and Blue urgently need adopters or rescue placement!
Long shelter stays and kennel stress are taking a toll, and these dogs need people willing to step up before Monday.

🐾 GOOD NEWS: THEIR ADOPTION FEES ARE DISCOUNTED AND MAY EVEN BE WAIVED THIS FRIDAY FOR FREEDOM FRIDAY! ❤️🐶 If you've been thinking about adopting, this is the perfect time to take the next step!

💛MEET BLANCHE 💛 ADOPTED!!
💛1 year old
💛 Under 40lbs
💛Blanche is still so young, with so much life ahead of her. She deserves the chance to grow, play, and experience life outside a shelter kennel. She came in with her sister and is a rockstar in puppy playgroup!

🧡MEET FREYA 🧡
🧡 2 years old
🧡Female, Spayed
🧡 Around 50lbs
🧡Freya has been waiting since June. That's months of shelter life without a home of her own. She is already spayed and available for adoption. She needs someone to see her as more than another dog behind kennel bars.

💙MEET BLUE 💙 ADOPTED!!
💙2 years old
💙 Male, Neutered
💙Around 65-75lbs
💙 Blue is a young adult dog who is available for adoption. He deserves the same opportunity as any other dog to find a person willing to give him a chance.

We understand that not everyone can adopt. We understand rescues are full. But if these 3 awesome dogs can get out of here, it will be because of the combined efforts of the staff advocating for them and the community stepping up to help.

These dogs have already spent months waiting. They cannot understand why they are still in a kennel or when someone will finally choose them. They are depending on people in the community to help change their circumstances.

💛💙We are open Monday-Friday 10M-4:30PM, Saturday 10AM-3PM. 💙💛

🧡🍁Meet these amazing animals that need your help getting out of the shelter this week! 🍁🧡
Freya, Blanche, and Ari are three fantastic girls who want to go home with you!
All three have been in the shelter for far too long and deserve a place in someone's home.

❤️Freya is a sweet, high-energy girl who has been waiting to get out of the shelter for months. She came in as a stray and may have a family that never came for her. She's always wiggly and happy when people walk through. She's met many families and couples. All of them have loved her, but none have ever returned for her.
🧡Ari has been in our shelter with her brother since she was 2 months old. She has grown up and seen all the other kittens from her litter get adopted. As she got older, fewer people wanted to meet her. Now she's 6 months old, and she's alone.
💛Blanche came into the shelter with her sister. Both have been overlooked for months while they have grown up here. Once Rue was adopted, Blanche was alone and waiting for her turn.

Freya and Ari are spayed and fully vaccinated. Blanche is awaiting a spay appointment.

🍂 All three have discounted adoption fees that include the cost of the spay, their vaccines, and their microchips. 🍂

💙💛 Check out our amazing dogs this week. We're located at 105 Justice Blvd Griffin, GA 30224. 💙💛
