What a SPOOK-tacular day at Spaulding! A big THANK YOU to all of our classroom volunteers who helped make today so special for our students! We were also so happy to see so many families come out to enjoy our costume parade. It was wonderful sharing the fun and excitement with all of you!

With Veterans Day approaching, we are proud to support the brave men and women who have served our country ❤️🤍💙 Our Penny Wars fundraiser will help raise money for Honor Flight, an organization that honors America’s veterans by providing trips to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor. Send in your coins now through November 6! Every penny counts as we come together to show our appreciation for our veterans and help make this meaningful experience possible!

Congratulations to our Spaulding Superkids of the month! These students were chosen by their teachers for being their Viking B.E.S.T. (Be Prepared! Encourage Kindness! Safety First! Try Your Best!) throughout the month. Today our Superkids were celebrated by staff and families at Donuts with Grownups. Way to go Superkids! Thank you to Rivas Tree Service for donating the donuts for today's event.

Who says learning only happens in the classroom?! At Spaulding, learning happens EVERYWHERE.... Even in PE! Mr. Sator and Mr. Spangler make the most of each day by sharing a daily message with their students. From calendar concepts and vocabulary to spelling and more, they find creative ways to weave academics into their PE classes! Learning doesn’t stop when students leave their classroom, it’s part of everything we do!

Wellness Week Is Coming! At Spaulding, we are putting the focus on wellness! Join us October 26–30 as we celebrate healthy choices, positive habits, and taking care of ourselves and one another. Throughout the week, students will explore ways to support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being through daily wellness activities, spirit days, and fun videos! We’ll learn about making healthy choices, managing our emotions, getting rest, and spreading kindness. We are looking forward to a week filled with learning, fun, and healthy habits!

Today, our students welcomed back author and motivational speaker Jim “Basketball” Jones for an exciting Growth Mindset assembly! Through basketball fun and a special visit from Yeti, a character from his book ‘Bouncy and the Power of Yet’, students learned the importance of embracing mistakes, keeping a positive attitude, and never giving up. His message reminded us all that we may not know how to do something… YET! Every mistake is a chance to learn, grow, and get better!
