🔥🚫 Ohio Burn Ban Reminder 🚫🔥

Starting October 1! We want to remind everyone to be aware of Ohio’s burn restrictions going into effect.

Before starting any outdoor fire, please make sure you know what is and isn’t permitted. A small fire can quickly spread in dry conditions and become a serious threat to homes, property, and our community.

Please help us prevent unnecessary fires by:
• Checking current burn restrictions before burning
• Following all Ohio open-burning regulations
• Never leaving a fire unattended
• Keeping water and firefighting tools nearby
• Completely extinguishing fires when finished

🚒 Our firefighters would much rather see everyone enjoy the outdoors safely than have to respond to a preventable brush or grass fire.

When conditions are dry, please think twice before you burn. Stay safe and help us protect our community! 🔥🚒

Friday, 9/25/2026, around 9:30 p.m., E202 and E201, along with St. Clair Twp. - New Miami Life Squad and Wayne Township Fire Association - Butler County, OH, responded to the area of Eaton Road and W Taylor School Road for a single vehicle accident. M231 arrived on scene and found a single vehicle in the roadway with heavy damage. M231 immediately upgraded the accident to an entrapment. E202 and E201 arrived on scene, completed the extrication, and assisted M231 with any patient care needs.

Sunday, 9/27/2026, around 1:20 p.m., E202 and E201 responded mutual aid to Madison Township for a working structure fire. Units operated on scene for approximately one hour before clearing and becoming available for another call within our township.

As units cleared the structure fire in Madison Township, a motorcycle crash was dispatched in the 2900 block of Hamilton Eaton Road (U.S. Route 127). M231 and E202 arrived on scene and found a motorcycle involved in a collision with a van. M231 requested CareFlight to the scene. E202 assisted M231 with patient care while E201 prepared the landing zone at Calvary Christian Center Church.

Trainee Rodney Lipps has been hard at work these last few weeks with the fire academy. We know he’ll do great!

Nearly five weeks in and the work is well underway for Firefighter students. They’re building the skills, teamwork, and confidence they’ll need to serve when it matters most.

Students are preparing to earn Fire I & II certifications and several will continue on to earn their EMT.
