State Representative Mai Xiong and Forgotten Harvest will launch a new biweekly mobile food distribution in Roseville, starting on Monday, Oct. 26, bringing free groceries and fresh food to the neighborhood around Eastland Senior Apartments. Xiong initiated the partnership after hearing from residents that many seniors lack reliable transportation to reach existing food assistance and some do not have family members who can help. The new distribution will reoccur every other week, providing a consistent option within walking distance for many residents living in the senior complex and surrounding neighborhood.

The mobile food pantry is open to everyone. Guests will be able to enter Forgotten Harvest’s mobile food pantry truck using an accessible ramp, use a cart and choose the items they need at no cost. No appointment, pre-registration or ID is needed; distribution will operate on a first-come, first-served basis until all food is distributed.
