A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated professionals at the Denton County 911 Dispatch who are both the first responders to our community’s calls and valuable assistance over the radio when we respond.

Roads around town and the surrounding area remain snow and ice covered. Choose safety and stay home.

Today we added deer wrangler to our repertoire. After being stuck for an unknown amount of time the buck was successfully freed with help from our community members and Sgt. Weisinger. Thankfully the buck seemed relatively unharmed and was able to resume his roaming safely away from random nets.

Today I had the distinct pleasure of promoting Christopher Weisinger to the rank of Sergeant. His efforts as this department’s investigator and first line supervisor have not gone unnoticed. He has my continued faith as we continue building the Copper Canyon Police Department.
