This morning, I was lying in bed, resting and relaxing, when two of my “community children,” Ronald Ebanks and Denise D. Williams, called.
“Mrs. Nadine, where are you?”
“I’m lying here in my bed. Where are you?”
“We’re at your front door!”
When I came to the door, they said, “Come on, let’s go!”
“Where are we going?”
“To the warehouse!”
“But we were just there yesterday!”
“Yes, and we drove all night so we could come help you work in the warehouse.”
My heart is full. 💛 I just love volunteers who become family.
As many of you know, Ronald left to serve our country, taking his family of four with him. He now lives in Georgia. For them to make this trip to help means so much to me.
They came to work, but they also brought love, joy, and encouragement. Ronald and Denise, thank you for showing up with helping hands and loving hearts.
Once you become part of the CEC family, you always have a place in my heart. I am so thankful! ♥️
