🎃 NEW Spooktacular Fun at the Lorraine! - We’ve teamed up with First Farmers Bank & Trust and Hoopeston Rotary Club to bring FREE sideshow performers during the Hoopeston Jaycees Downtown Spooktacular event on Monday 10/26.

Look for our two roaming performers juggling, plate spinning, stilt walking, unicycling, and even glove walking in front of the Lorraine throughout the evening. Plus, stop by our ticket booth for a visit with a fortune teller! 🔮

First Farmers and Hoopeston Rotary will also be inside the Lorraine handing out treats.

Thank you to our sponsors, First Farmers Bank & Trust and Hoopeston Rotary Club and to the Hoopeston Jaycees for hosting this community tradition.

FRESHMAN SENATOR SUNDAY

🌽 Congratulations to Illinois’ newest JCI Senator, Brett Rush #85186! 🌽

Brett received his Senatorship on September 6 at the 82nd National Sweetcorn Festival in Hoopeston, Illinois—a fitting place to recognize someone whose Jaycee roots and commitment to service run deep.

Brett became a Hoopeston Jaycee in 1990, following in the footsteps of his father, Richard. Over the years, he has served as Treasurer, Vice President, President, and the 67th National Sweetcorn Festival Chairman. Today, he continues serving through the National Sweetcorn Festival Foundation and shares the Jaycee tradition with his daughter, Marissa. 💙

Beyond the Jaycees, Brett continues to serve his community as Highway Commissioner for Lovejoy Township and Fire Chief for the Wellington-Greer Fire Protection District.

Selfless. Dedicated. Hardworking. Generous. Always willing to lend a hand. Those words describe exactly why this honor is so well deserved.

Welcome to the U.S. JCI Senate family, Brett Rush #85186! Congratulations on your Senatorship and thank you for a lifetime of service and impact. 🇺🇸

Lauren Linares, who along with Hardcastle is on the board of the Jaycees chapter, chaired the mural project. Linares saw Franz’s artistic work elsewhere and thought it would make a great addition in Hoopeston.
