Elect Deb Wemette

Elect Deb Wemette Hello, I am a small business owner of Churchill's fine ci**rs in the city of Hot Springs, going on 20 years. I have been married for 33 years.

As mayor I would advocate for an oversight board made up from community members. Vote for Deb Wemette

Our raised garden beds have the potential to grow an incredible amount of fresh food for the Community Resource Center, giving Chef Betsey even more fresh vegetables and herbs from our own "backyard" to incorporate into the meals we serve daily.

Right now, the garden needs a reset.

We have some plants still growing, some areas that need to be cleared, and plenty of opportunity to start fresh with cool-season crops as we head into October.

First, we’re looking for people who want to help us care for it.

Experienced gardeners would be especially helpful as we evaluate what’s growing, prepare the beds and decide what to plant next.

We also need a small team of volunteers who can help us keep the garden watered on a dependable schedule — ideally enough people to cover certain days of the week. We have access to water and plenty of hose; we simply need consistent hands to help us keep everything thriving.

If irrigation is your area of expertise, we’d love to connect with someone who can take a look at the tubing and supplies we currently have and help us determine exactly what's here and the best long-term watering setup for the garden.

We’re also currently looking for donations of: Lettuce and spinach seeds or plants, Mustard greens, Turnips, Kohlrabi, Collard plants, Leeks or shallots, Garlic bulbs for planting, Compost and mulch.

This space has so much potential and we'd love to see it become something our whole community helps grow!

If you can lend some gardening knowledge, help with irrigation, commit to a regular garden care shift, or donate seeds, plants or supplies, please fill out this form:

I do not have yard signs. I currently have vinyl stickers for car windows. It takes about 3 minutes to install. In about 5 minutes to remove. I will be happy to do both the installation and the removal myself.
Anyone interested in supporting me with a sticker in the car window until November 3rd?
Private message me and I'll come to you.
Thank you for your support!
