The Third Ward Early Capacity Building Grant Fund opens in ONE WEEK. If you've been waiting... now is the time to get ready.
Up to $1,000,000 is available for the organizations, small businesses, and entrepreneurs building Houston's Third Ward.
Two ways to get funded:
◆ Tier 1 — Up to $15,000 for grassroots & early-stage orgs
◆ Tier 2 — Up to $75,000 for established nonprofits & businesses
The portal opens September 1. You have until September 30 to submit. Start gathering your documents now.

A free virtual parent workshop July 30 at 6PM with Shan Guillory, LPC-S, in a space where showing up for support is welcome. A good resource for anyone raising or supporting kids in our community.

Ever since I was young, Essence showed me how to dream bigger than what I could see in my daily life. The magazine on the table, the festival on the horizon, proof that our excellence had a home. So a gathering like this during Essence weekend feels full circle: funders, founders, and community leaders convening inside the very culture that taught so many of us to imagine more. Sessions like this inspire our own work at New Bayou Living Labs toward a collective impact ecosystem across the Gulf South, where communities, institutions, and capital learn to move together.

Last week, the New Bayou team participated in the Comprehensive Plan Community Charrettes hosted by the City of Beaumont - Government and Able City. The presentations were informative and conversations were lively.
