This corrupt Justice of the Peace got booted off the bench by his opponent. Israel B Garcia advertising weddings in the Spanish newspapers around the Southeast part of town. Please see the photo attached here. While most people were starving (during COVID) and losing their homes and their rental abode. The judge was stuffing his pockets with wedding $$$

Harris County Justice of the Peace Precinct 5, Place 1 Israel B. Garcia Jr. received a public admonition and order of additional education (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ryd3z6ClDiCDJHlp03jdkjjVRyAlZhY2/view?usp=sharing) for advertising his performance of weddings.
The commission stated in its findings of fact that Garcia distributed cards advertising his wedding services that featured a picture of the judge in his judicial robes, as well as his judicial title and an image of the Texas flag.
Garcia ran advertisements in Spanish-language newspapers featuring his photograph on the bench in his robe beneath the Harris County seal, with the words “Bodas en Español” (weddings in Spanish), “Juez Israel B. Garcia Jr.” and phone numbers at the bottom, and the image of his justice of the peace seal superimposed over the image.
During Garcia’s appearance before the commission, he provided inconsistent and conflicting testimony regarding his efforts to advertise, the order said.
Garcia admitted distributing the cards and said he no longer does so, but couldn’t provide a clear, consistent answer as to how, where and when the cards were distributed, the commission order said.
He also admitted running ads in newspapers but couldn’t provide clear answers regarding the length of time they appeared, the commission said.
Finding Garcia’s testimony contradictory and disingenuous, the commission publicly admonished him and ordered that he get an additional three hours education with a mentor within 60 days for lending the prestige of his judicial office to advance his private interests when
he advertised his performance of weddings services using the regalia of his office.
