I wasnβt able to raise enough to fund the original team.
However, I have picked up a partner out of Ocala, Fla. Gay Nell Cole, her and I will fish the Pescadora Billfish Championship 2020 in Costa Rica. Thank you Gay for stepping up and sticking it out with me when no one else did; looking forward to the catch! πππ
To all that donated your contributions have gone to order our tournament gear! We greatly appreciate all of you!
This is a giraffe expensive adventure being split between 2 teammates, but a huge honor for it to come together in the 11th hour!
Thank you so very much β€οΈ

Leaza is a Gulf Coast Texas native. Born and raised on the water, first learning to fish with a cane pole from her grandfathers and later fishing saltwater with her entire family. Living on the Gulf of Mexico coast has indeed been the seed and cultivation to her undying love for the ocean and all its inhabitants.
She works in the GOM on an oil & gas production facility 14 days a month and finds that her passion takes her right back to the sea on her days off, she has a propensity to spend more of her life on the water than on land. Travel fishing the world chasing her top 33 trophy wishlist fish has only propagated her fish passion to become homeowner in Playa del Carmen, Mexico where she host fishing adventurers go and spend the week fishing and experiencing Playa off the beaten path.

Alejandra Islas MuΓ±oz, moved you Playa del Carmen when she was 11 years old, where she later met her husband of 25 years in high school. Her husbandβs family is 4 generations of commercial fishermen which is where their passion for sport fishing developed. With her husband being a sport fishing boat captain they participate in many tournaments along the YucatΓ‘n Peninsula coast, winning the Cozumel Boat Rodeo in 2013 and the Torneo de pesca in 2014.
When Alejandra isnβt busy selling houses and raising their five children she is on the water practicing the art of sport fishing including trolling, bottom fishing the reefs and vertical jigging where she excels, often out fishing everyone on the boat. Through this journey of life she is drawn to people who share the same heartfelt devotion for fishing as she does.
