Today was a very emotional day for Aubrey and her favorite Doctor.
Today was Aubrey’s last appointment with Dr. Schafer and will now be seeing a new Doctor in the Cancer Survivor Program at Texas Children’s.
My mother noticed Dr. Schafer holding back tears. The love between these two is indescribable. A whole 7 years he came into her life and helped her beat Leukemia. He never once stopped fighting for her, even on her worse days fighting against all her chemotherapy and reactions.
We love and appreciate you so much, Dr. Schafer. You saved our Aubrey and we can’t thank you enough. 🙏🏼❤️

Today, Aubrey met her new Doctor at Texas Children’s Hospital Cancer Survivor Program. ❤️
Each year she will get a bunny or bear, she was so excited receiving this gift today 🎁🐰
Her new Doctor explained in detail why she would be coming, she understood so perfectly and realized the fight was really over.
She’s a Survivor 🧡💛🎗

Hey Leukemia, it’s me again. Just like to remind you, I BEAT YOU & IM STILL SMILING!
Today marks 6 years Leukemia made its way into Aubrey’s life at only 4 years old. She was too tough and strong, it didn’t even have a chance!

This is without a doubt a very important day in your life, my sweet Aubrey, it’s the day you hit the double digit mark 💗
People always told me that time would fly by... they were right. I could not be more proud of the young woman you are becoming.
Here are 10 things I love about you!
1. Your love for others
2. You’re a great big sister
3. Your strength
4. You are an amazing friend
5. Your love for coloring
6. Your beautiful smile
7. Your gorgeous RED hair
8. The way you find the good in everything
9. Your sensitive sweet heart
10. You. Are. Absolutely. BEAUTIFUL
Some days you’re so hard on yourself, but girl... YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! You have an infectious smile that lights up a room! Your hair is the most gorgeous auburn red that I love so, so much! But even more importantly, the way you overcame the biggest obstacle in your life & how your smile never stopped through it all.
You are my first born, my red headed beauty. I loved you from the moment I saw you through my very first ultrasound... the biggest smile overcame the whole room. Who would have thought, little 16 year old me would bless this world with such an amazing daughter.
I love you Aubrey Marie, Happy 10th Birthday baby girl!

Yesterday Aubrey was seen by her amazing doctor, Dr. Schafer! Can you guys believe he told Aubrey that she is medically boring because all her blood counts came back SO GREAT! Her blood counts are in the thousands, no Leukemia in sight! 🙌🏼
Aubrey will be starting 4th grade this coming up school semester! We both cannot believe how much she has grown into a beautiful, intelligent young lady. In another 4 months we will see Dr. Schafer once more and actually speak about switching her to the Texas Children’s Cancer Survivor Program. 🎗🙏🏼

Due to COVID-19 virus and the order issued by Governor and our local county judge, Our Warrior Princess Aubrey cannot go to Texas Children’s Hospital to see her Oncologist.
Instead today, her appointment was done by phone. We had a great talk with her Oncologist.
We have to take her to a local lab to conduct her CBC (blood work) and send them over to her Oncologist.
Today marks 36-months (3-Years) since Aubrey’s last chemotherapy treatment. She is phasing into her 4-years of being in remission!!!! Yay!!! 🎉
Hopefully, this pandemic will flatten by the time her next appointment comes around .... she really misses seeing Dr. Schafer and Staff at TCH.
Way To Go Aubrey!!! We’re so proud of you!!!
Thank You Lord for answering all of our prayers of Healing.
