Today, Galveston County, Texas is sending the message, that Enough is Enough! If you are caught behind the wheel in Galveston County while intoxicated, you will be going to jail. Texas Penal Code 49.04 states - A person commits an offense if the person is intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle in a public place.

This hits close to home for many, including in our Galveston County Family. The 9 year old nephew of one of the county staff member was tragically killed by a drunk driver in December of 2023. His life mattered, and the decision of one man took him from us. The pain felt by the family and friends never goes away. Plan ahead, get a ride, save lives!
