⚽🚨 Battle of the Badges: Women Taking the Field! 🚒🚑🚓
On Sunday, October 18th, Assistant Chief Kelly Lathrem and Paramedic II Naudia Ramos proudly represented La Porte EMS in the inaugural Women's Battle of the Badges Soccer Match, where Police faced off against Fire/EMS!
It was a fun-filled, action-packed game with plenty of friendly competition, teamwork, and goals! When the final whistle blew, Fire/EMS claimed bragging rights with a 7–6 victory! 🏆🎉
And a special shoutout to Naudia Ramos, who found the back of the net TWICE! ⚽⚽👏
We couldn't be prouder of these two incredible women! Whether they're serving our community or competing on the field, they bring dedication, determination, and heart to everything they do.

Today, La Porte EMS Field Training Officers (FTOs) attended a Field Training Officer course hosted by the La Porte Police Department (LPPD).

We appreciate LPPD and instructor Ron Taylor for providing this training opportunity and supporting collaboration between our public safety agencies. Continued education and professional development help ensure our FTOs are equipped to mentor, guide, and prepare the next generation of EMS professionals.

City of La Porte EMS had a great time participating in National Night Out! 🚑🇺🇸

We enjoyed getting out into the community, meeting our neighbors, and spending time with the families who make La Porte such a great place to serve.

🚑 City of La Porte EMS at the LEPC Health & Safety Fair! 🧸

City of La Porte EMS was proud to participate in the LEPC Health & Safety Fair on Saturday, September 26, 2026!

Our certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians were on site to help keep our youngest community members safe. 16 car seats were checked, and 11 new car seats were provided and properly installed for local families. 👶🚗

We’re proud to support our community and help make sure every child has a safe ride home!

Partners and members of the Health & Safety Fair Committee met at La Porte High School to begin finalizing the layout for this year’s event!

We are excited to celebrate the 30th Annual Health & Safety Fair back at La Porte High School. The renovations look incredible, and it was especially great to see the many new safety features and mitigation improvements incorporated into the renovation project.

We cannot wait to welcome our community back on September 26 for another great Health & Safety Fair!

Before smartphones. Before social media. When pagers were buzzing, Walkmans were playing, and everyone had that 90s haircut… the La Porte Health & Safety Fair was getting started! 😎

As we get ready to celebrate the 30th Annual La Porte Health & Safety Fair, we’re digging into the archives and throwing it way back to 1996 and some of the earliest days of this community tradition.

Thirty years later, generations of La Porte families, businesses, first responders, healthcare professionals, industries, schools, volunteers, and community partners have helped make this event what it is today.

But now we want to see YOUR throwback! 👀

🚑 CIMA Zone 3 Multi-Agency Drill 🚑
Training together makes us stronger!

La Porte EMS participated in a CIMA Zone 3 Drill this morning with our neighboring agencies, Deer Park EMS and Seabrook EMS.

This joint training provided an excellent opportunity for our crews to work together, strengthen communication, and practice coordinated patient care in a multi-agency response.

We’re proud to work alongside our neighboring EMS partners to enhance preparedness and provide the best possible care to the communities we serve. 🤝🚑

A big thank you to all the crews who participated and helped make this training a success!
